Terms of Service

By accessing or using QuoteBolt (“the Service”), operated at quotebolt.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

QuoteBolt is an AI-powered proposal tool for trade contractors (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and related trades). The Service allows contractors to create professional proposals, collect electronic signatures, and accept deposit payments from their clients.

You must create an account to use QuoteBolt. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when registering
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

QuoteBolt offers paid subscription plans (Starter at $29/month, Pro at $49/month, Team at $79/month) with a 14-day free trial. By subscribing:

• You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly or annual basis
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Refunds are not issued for partial months
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

QuoteBolt facilitates payments between contractors and their clients via Stripe Connect. QuoteBolt does not hold or control funds — all payments flow directly to the contractor's connected Stripe account. QuoteBolt is not responsible for disputes between contractors and their clients regarding payment, work quality, or contract terms.

Proposals signed through QuoteBolt using our e-signature integration constitute legally binding agreements between the contractor and their client, subject to applicable law. Contractors are responsible for ensuring their proposals comply with local licensing requirements, consumer protection laws, and any applicable regulations for their trade.

QuoteBolt uses AI (Anthropic Claude) to help generate proposal content. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content is a starting point — you are responsible for reviewing and approving all proposal content before sending
• QuoteBolt does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any specific job
• You retain full responsibility for the proposals you send to your clients

You agree not to use QuoteBolt to:

• Send fraudulent or misleading proposals
• Misrepresent your licensing, insurance, or qualifications
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service

Your use of QuoteBolt is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

You may cancel your account at any time from the billing settings page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, you will retain access to view your historical proposals but will not be able to create new ones.

QuoteBolt is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuoteBolt and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost profits, lost jobs, or disputes with your clients.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
